I’m Viktor Bera, a Budapest‑based fine art photographer, photo historian and cultural manager with an economics and design‑/art‑management background. I work almost exclusively with black‑and‑white, archaic analog processes in large format, often combining historical lenses and materials with contemporary practice to explore memory, material culture and the social history of images. I’m the founder and member of the Bázis studio‑gallery in Budapest, where I organize exhibitions, photo sessions and workshops that represent this archaic photography line. Beyond my own practice I lecture, write and curate on photo‑ and economic history, and I have been involved in organizing public programs such as the BPF Nights series at the Budapest Photo Festival.

I also work from my studio at 1085 Budapest, Horánszky u, where I offer portrait sessions alongside talks and workshops on analog photography and visual culture.
